What to have ready when you call
- Your location and the area where help is needed.
- What has happened, when it started and whether water is actively escaping.
- For a boiler fault, its make, model and any visible code, if safe to read.
- Who can provide access, particularly for a rental property.
You do not need to investigate an unsafe area or diagnose the fault. If water is escaping, use the safe first-steps guide and keep clear of wet electrics.
If the phone is unanswered
Leave a message or text with your location, a brief description of the problem and a number to reach you. John will respond as soon as he can. A message does not confirm a visit; attendance needs to be discussed.
